If you don't know, The Wrestler is an upcoming film directed by Darren Aronofsky, starring Mickey Rourke, Ernest Miller, Marisa Tomei and Evan Rachel Wood. Production began in January 2008. (How did they make it so fast?) The film premiered at the 2008 Venice Film Festival and was a winner of the Golden Lion Award for Best Film.
Aronofsky usually doesn't mess around and I suspect an amazing performance by Rourke. I was worried that the other film he did called Killshot was going to go straight to video but it seems to be coming out next month. I saw it at a screening about a year ago and it was really on the edge of your seat entertaining and it is good looker stylistically. Hopefully they didn't edited it too much.
