The Good, The Bad & The Queen

The collaboration between Damon Albarn (Blur, Gorillaz) Danger Mouse (Gnarls Barkley), Paul Simonon (The Clash), Simon Tong (The Verve) and Afrobeat drummer Tony Allen (Fela) played to a sold out crowd last night at Webster Hall. Dressed in fine threads (top hats and pinstripe suits - super Mafioso) they seemed to please the crowd playing many songs from their latest album and managed to create a sort of old time circus atmosphere starting the show with vaudeville-esque sword swallowing and other side show stunts. Paul Simonon was definitely playing the crowd and received a lot of attention from the ladies (most of them surprisingly under 25!) Good Show, Good Album...have a listen
