Topshop- store opening.

It was madness at the Topshop.
We took some pictures but haven't had time yet to upload them.

She had loads of makeup on. The line was out the door.
It went around the whole block.
I hope this weekend to go shopping and check out the store.

WWD said that a Topshop van has been driving around
New York handing out goody bags and gift cards worth $5 to $500.
On the Topshop website it said the van will be driving around until tomorrow.

So on this day blogger lola y maria and I will take off work in the morning to see this event.
It should be loads of fun. I can't wait.

Topshop will be opening on April 2, 2009 in New York.

Sir Green said that Kate Moss would attend the launch of the new 40,000sq ft New York Topshop store at 478 Broadway, NYC.

So all the Kate Moss fans out in NY, this is your chance to see her in person.
Bring your camera with the zoom lens.

Sir Green also said that they plan to open 12 - 15 stores in the USA.

Topshop on Oxford Street (London) is one of the best stores. I have visited other locations but this is still my favor one. I visited the Oxford store yesterday but I think it's better to get their when they open up instead of noon time. It was so crowded.

Topshop - News - The Soho Store, NYC

I recently read an article on WWD that said" TopShop won't open until Mid-March" but on Drapers it said "A spokeswoman for Topshop confirmed to Drapers that Green ( Philip Green, Topshop’s owner) was in the US ironing out problems with contractors and said she could not yet confirm the new opening date. A source close to the situation said: "It has been difficult to negotiate with the Americans."

So, I guess there won't be a Topshop store yet in New York but at least we can shop online until the store opens.

Topshop - Soho, New York - delayed in store opening but you can shop the website!

This article I saw in WWD last week on 9/4/08.

"Topshop is running into delays with its SoHo flagship and is now eyeing a November opening ( we hope sooner), instead of mid-October as originally hoped.The New York store, Topshop’s first in the U.S. and highly anticipated considering the retailer’s reputation in Europe as a mecca for fast fashion, is racing to launch in time for holiday selling.But as a precursor in order to ease anxious American shoppers, the U.K.-based chain will launch a U.S.-dollar version of its Web site on Sept. 9. (TODAY!)

Topshop is offering a free Kate Moss charity T-shirt to the first U.S. customers spending more than $50 on the site. For each T-shirt given, a $5 donation will be made to the Starlight Children’s Foundation. Topshop has 2,000 T-shirts available to give away.

I will check out the website and see if there is anything I want to buy.
I hope the prices are a bit cheaper since the British pound is losing value.
