New Arrivals: LnA Leggings

from NYLON MAG

GET A LEG UP
LnA's new leggings and hoodies pass with flying colors.

Lauren Alexander and April Leight knew there was nothing quite like a boyfriend tee, albeit a brightly colored and reconstructed one. Last summer, the California girls launched LnA, a monochromatic T-shirt collection that didn’t take long to catch the eyes of Nicole Richie, Lindsay Lohan, and the Olsen twins. This year, they’ve injected LnA with a little edge, expanding the line to include ’80s-inspired tailored hoodies, super fine cotton henleys, and spandex leggings with brass zippers…that your boyfriend will hanker for.

What inspired the new collection?
We were designing for fall so it was natural that we would start designing hoodies. We decided to do leggings in 20 colors this season with big black exposed zippers on the sides. They are very Olivia Newton John in Grease! The hot pink ones are very edgy, but the black ones are great for everyday.

We love the colors! Why are bright colors so important in your line?
One of the MOST important things about our line is the colors that we offer. In the beginning, having all of the bright colors that no one else was offering helped us stand out. Our collection literally looked like a rainbow when you'd walk by it!

What music do you listen to while you're design?
Anything from Marilyn Manson to Goldfrapp. The new band Delta Fiasco has definitely been playing nonstop!
SAMANTHA GILEWICZ

Lna Leggings are available at lolaymaria.com in Black, Hot Pink and Electric Blue

New Designers at Lola y Maria: Alchemy

We've just added ALCHEMY to our roster!!!!

About Alchemy:

Established in 2007, Alchemy is a specialized design firm that takes an innovative twist on old New York style, providing fresh accents for today's discerning buyer. Alchemy products are manufactured in Como, Italy, where each piece is handcrafted in the highest European fabrications.
Alchemy's new collection of unisex scarves, sashes and pochettes boasts design inspiration from 19th century iron works. This unique line features vintage keys and padlocks, shields, swords and daggers as design elements.

A classic reinvention is the use of eagles to create a hound's-tooth effect while small sparrows strategically placed create medallions. Flowers bursting out of bombs and Colt 45 pistols coupled with daisies compliment classic designs such as paisleys, mono-colored leaf patterns and baroque florals.

The current design collection displays intricate patterns that divulge hidden objects beyond initial glance to offer the consumer an interesting accessory—not just an accessory.

New Designers at Lola y Maria: Office Tramp

We are estatic to now be carrying Office Tramp at LYM.....we first found out about the label a year ago while surfing the web....the collection is even cuter in person......you are going to flip!
OFFICE HOOCHIE CHIC!!!!!!!

About OFFICE TRAMP:
Office Tramp by Gina Valdez is collaboration between two college friends, Gina and Adriana, who became the quintessential "Office Tramps" after graduation and beginning their "professional careers." Apathetic about their 9 to 5's and bored of their standard mundane, blend in with the walls, work attire, Gina and Adriana began designing and making custom necklaces, earrings, and pins for themselves to reflect their approach to style and life: sassy, bold, and confident. With encouragement from friends, Office Tramp took their one of kind necklaces and approach to fashion to the public and began selling in boutiques in San Francisco. Discovering a true passion for design, Office Tramp by Gina Valdez has since evolved into a jewelry line designed to accessorize females who aren't afraid to mix glam with a little bit of humor, kitsch, and of course bling. Regardless of where she is in her career, the Office Tramp style is to NEVER BE BORING. An OT girl is slightly rebellious, plenty independent, and a whole lotta flashy. For the Office Tramp, great style means taking risks even if you incite office gossip.
