I think Yasmin put him on a diet.
He looks much better now then he did this past summer.

Duran Duran make history at Louvre; Paris, France

Duran Duran who performed in the famous Louvre Pyramid, designed by IM Pei.

Princess Caroline of Monaco was among 275 guests sipping Don Ruinart champagne and watching Duran Duran perform at the Louvre Museum's biggest-ever fundraising bash last night, which raised $2.6 million, organizers said.

The fundraising effort is for the 18th century Decorative Arts Gallery of the museum, which is due to re-open in 2011

This is the first time that the Louvre let a pop brand perform.

Simon Le Bon said he hoped the show had "put a smile on the Mona Lisa's face".

I think Simon loves to put a smile on any woman.

Duran Duran set for Ronson revamp at special gig

Duran Duran to collaborate with Mark Ronson for one-off concert
Eighties legends Duran Duran are to collaborate with producer Mark Ronson ahead of a one-off concert in France.

Ronson, who played an instrumental role in the rise of Lily Allen as well as crafting the resurgence of Amy Winehouse, is to remix a number of the Wild Boys stars' tracks.

The producer said the task of rejigging tracks such as Rio and Save A Prayer attracted him because Duran Duran "were the only band I ever idolised".

And the Brit award-winner said his obsession with the band was such that he "used to take a picture of [bassist] John Taylor with me to the barber shop".

Duran Duran frontman Simon Le Bon said Ronson was "one of the biggest talents to have emerged in recent years".

"He's taking popular music in a new, exciting and fresh direction," he said in a statement.

"He also looks great in a well-cut suit, and has the blood and voice of an Englishman."

The Smirnoff Experience concert at La Cigalle in Paris on July 2nd is invite-only but is to be filmed and broadcast globally.

Ronson revealed this week that he and Winehouse are working on a potential theme song for Quantum of Solace, the 22nd James Bond movie.

"Hopefully it will get used. We're working on it and we'll see happens," he told BBC 6 Music.

"They asked Amy, and I think Amy said that if she did it, she'd want to do it with me. So hopefully something will come of it."

Rock the Rabbit - a la Duran Duran

The Duran Duran ROCK THE RABBIT Tees will be available at Bloomingdales in New York City as of March 5th as well as select W Hotel outlets. I'm hoping that it's more of a hot neon pick vs a red like the RCM Album Cover. Regardless, it's pretty cute under a shrunken tuxedo jacket or under a funky jumper.

The inspiration came from DD's new record, Red Carpet Massacre. Here is the original pre-retouched album cover. The final has the little censor box over here eyes. I can barely see the difference other than that. Love the glossy lips! Very Helmut Newton.

Red Carpet Disaster

Many of you probably don't know that 80's glam boys Duran Duran have been in town playing at the Ethel Barrymore Theatre on Broadway. We were lucky enough to catch 3 of the 10 show run before it got closed down by the Broadway worker's strike.
Fortunately, Duran Duran found a way to move the last 3 shows to ROSELAND....bad news is the venue is a large standing room only space opposed to the tiny 1000 person Barrymore (which by the way, is gorgeous!). The new album, titled "RED CARPET MASSACRE" officially comes out tomorrow (Nov 13th). It's not as bad as one might think (Timbaland produced many songs on the record). Anyhow, here is a pic of sexy Simon...

if anyone has any extra tickets for tomorrow, let me know!!!!!!!!!
