My new favorite party.....1992 (at R Bar)
Speaking of favorites.....I can't believe I've missed out on this monthly party. Amazing Music: Think late 80's and early 1990's hip hop. Most Memorable songs of the evening came from Queen Latifah, Ultramagnetic MC's, Easy E, and my favorite song of all time, "Saturday", by De La Soul. Even more amazing fashion: fanny packs, tight 1990's stretchy mini dresses, bright colors, and other 2000 meets 90's outfits. I just died and went to (hip hop) heaven. I don't have to have my own private dance party at home watching THE BRIDGE. Read more HERE

My latest "favorite shoe", the KIMBERLY by DRU
Yeah, I'll admit....shoes are my weakness...I am a true shoe whore. I flipped when I saw these in the DRU lookbook a few months back. There was no question we had to get these. They seem to me to be the perfect pump for all those little black dresses that I plan to wear the next couple of months...that or maybe with some tight black jeans...they are elegant and Ziggy Stardust at the same time.

It starts at 1:45 p.m on Saturday Sept 29, 2007, Great Hall. Be there at least 10 mins earlier to check in your coats and go through Security.

Movies on the cheap! Fun finds from Fiona.
If you are on a tight budget and you want some entertainment for free.
Try the New York Library. You can request movies or stop by your local branch to pick up movies.
It's really easy. All you need is your library card and pass word.
Go to this site @ www.nypl.org, click on my account and follow the directions.
For new movies there is a wait but for older movies there isn't really a wait.
They have a great section of foreign movies too.
Erika Pena Jewelry
To be honest, I'm not a jewerly fanatic..however, I'm going nuts over the new stuff we have received from designer Erika Pena. The puerto rican designers finds her inspiration from both Manhattan and her native Caribbean. It's airy, yet edgy. The new KIKA line is all about lucite and high gloss black. Perfect pieces for all those little black holiday dresses that we'll be wearing in the next couple of months. My personal favorites include the la paloma necklace and the high black gloss bianca earrings. All the pieces are fun, but classic at the same time! PS....all the names of the pieces remind me of something that would come out of a Pedro Almodovar movie and that makes it even cooler.....check it out.....

LES Shop Night! A Sucess!
Thank you for everyone who stopped by last night! The weather was great and so was the wine from our sponsor KILO wines...we had a great time and I know that some people scooped up some great buys! After closing up at about 10:30 (we had a mini rush there at the end) we went over to the opening of LABEL, the new bar across the street from LYM. The all black glossy bar with super cool white antler lamps was jammed pack. I don't know how everyone fit in. We are super excited this new addition to the neighborhood....
After downing numerous drinks we ran over to DASH DOG for a bite to eat. The veggie apple sausage was on hit as was the classic stone with fritos! We had decided to get a something to eat before we went to check out REVOLVER, which by the time we got there was packed to capacity...oh well....
Thank you again to KILO...which ps is available at neighborhood wine shop East Village Wines on Avenue A ...xoxoxo

More Flashing
Trouble (Trevor Andrew) performing at Worship Worthy's Wire Launch Party last night at 205.
This little guys fuses punk rock and electro and does a nice job. His voice is great and so are the lyrics " do you want to see my gun....go bang, bang, bang bang? He performs extemely well live and his voice is kinda like a sexy version of Ian Curtis. Dunno how to to describe it really. Perfect Package for the new millenium skate betties (that's what we used to call them in teh 80's). He notes one of my favorite band, THE DESCENDENTS, as his influences. For more videos, music and pics check out his myspace page HERE
Thursday is the new Saturday - too bad for us...
or maybe it was just the weather......the freaks and B&T were out in full force!
Euro Baby outside of St Jerome's decides he should flash us. I think he thought that was hot.....NOT!
Has anyone seen this cab? Art or Ad?
One reason to go to DSW - Apparentely months ago this pair of oxfords were scooped up for 40.00 bucks....sometimes it pays to be up on your game. I don't think you can find oxfords now for less than 250.00!!!!! Good Score.

Exhibit: Tracey Snelling "Buildings"
"Driving down the street at night, I look at the lit windows of the houses that I pass, and I wonder who lives there. What is going on right at this moment behind that curtain or drawn shade? I want to know the stories of the people who stayed there, the history of the people who owned it, and why it is no longer inhabited." T. Snelling

From the Tents - Rosa Cha & Benjamin Cho
The Spring 2008 Rosa Cha Bikini Collection was quite artful....the expected super sexy bikinis were sexy but also included abstract shapes, mindfulcolor collections and lots of art hardware...star sightings included the recently shaved Mena Suvari, Daisy Fuentes and Ivana Trump...
The girl in front of us at Rosa Cha.. wearing the cutest navaho geometric print dress with an exposed zipper!
Benjamin Cho - Highlights included tops and bottoms with super oversized chunky rope detailing, lacing, cut out riding pants, an electric blue origami top and our personal favorite, a completeley backless hot fuscia top worn with super tight black knickers. A futuristic Jackie O with a bit of a bondage feel. Definitely one of scenier shows. Attendees included the lovely Chloe Sevigny, Waris Ahluwalia and the entire Misshapes yearbook. That and every other hipster downtown kid.

Brazilian Beauties
On our agenda for today:
Carlos Miele - very very girly...lots of one shoulder dresses with lots of ruffles, neon corals and turquoise paired up with grey. Very little black - just one cute number in that liquid black sort of fabric. Chanel Iman looked gorgeous.....Miss Stam seemed a bit hungover....maybe too much partying last night. She looks like a ghost (haha), no that's just my camera phone! We left our camera at home.
Lerario Beatriz - The Sao Paolo Native Ana Beatriz will present her Spring 08 collection tonight from 6 to 8pm. We expect to see more her casual, comfy, sexy styles.
