What is Fashion Night Out anyway?

( image wwd)
Someone asked me the other day what is Fashion Night Out and I thought I would post it's meaning.

SEPTEMBER 10
Retailers will unite for a
single evening in New York City and thirteen other fashion capitals around the world by creating engaging and entertaining incentives to inspire consumers and invigorate the economy and local industry.

Click on link to find all participating retailers and all the fun events they have planned for tomorrow.

This is cool:
Enthusiastic shoppers who are weighed down with their purchases can take advantage of free transportation in various areas of Manhattan! Courtesy of Payless ShoeSource, Gray Line New York double-decker buses will provide “The Official Ride” of Fashion’s Night Out, looping between downtown and midtown, and stopping at key shopping locations. For something a little more intimate, head down to Aveda’s Experience Center at Fifth Avenue and West Nineteenth Street where it will be providing complimentary pedicabs within a fifteen-block radius south of the store.
