B-clothing is an independent creative group from Bogota, Colombia. Their collection of tshirts includes original screenprints like neon pink robots, flourescent green guitars and and an especially freaky haunted house print. All tshirts are handmade and are now available online.

new film by MARILYN PEREZ.

In the latest film by FRANK RODRIGUEZ, ANIMAL TROPICAL IN MONTREAL,
original music by PAQUITO d RIVERA, we meet PEDRO JUAN GUTIERREZ, the
prolific and charismatic Cuban writer living in Havana. He is the
author of the international sensation, DIRTY HAVANA TRILOGY.

Come DINE, DANCE, DRINK space(cash bar), DELIGHT AND DONATE while you
enjoy previewing selections from these films which will be shown
throughout the evening.

SMOKESCREEN A CUBAN MYSTERY the film gives a wistful look upon Cuba.
By doing this, we hope that others pass through the metaphorical smoke
and reclaim our former good relations, symbolized by the cigar, lost
for almost half a century. What divides is a smokescreen. Who will
cross this divide?

ANIMAL TROPICAL IN MONTREAL is a documentary film shot in Montreal
where this controversial Cuban author is invited to visit and in
Havana, where PEDRO JUAN GUTIERREZ writes his books. Is it pornography
or is it prose and who cares and why?

Dulce Pinzon "Superheroes" Show at BPL


APRIL-JUNE 2007 EXHIBITIONS AT BROOKLYN PUBLIC LIBRARY

Brooklyn, NY, April 18, 2007 — The following exhibition at BPL’s Central
Library, located at Grand Army Plaza, are free and open to the public. For

The Real Story of the Superheroes, in the Grand Lobby, features photos of
Latino immigrant workers in New York dressed as superheroes. The artist,
Dulce Pinzón, believes they are unrecognized heroes. They work hard for very
low wages, which they save at great sacrifice to send to families and
communities in Mexico who rely on it to survive. Pinzón was born in Mexico
City and has exhibited her work around the world. She was the winner of the
Jovenes Creadores grant in 2002 and a fellow in photography from the New
York Foundation for the Arts in 2006.
