Two week left before the Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty exhibit closes

Today I went to the exhibit and I had to wait in line to see the Alexander McQueen exhibit. I guess it because it's weekend but so worth the wait.

You are not allowed to take pictures but I did, just one. I took it with my iPod and the lens was aiming towards the mirror and I got the reflection of this black feather dress.

The exhibition celebrates the late Mr. McQueen's extraordinary contributions to fashion. From his Central Saint Martins postgraduate collection in 1992 to his final runway presentation, which took place after his death in February 2010, Mr. McQueen challenged and expanded our understanding of fashion beyond utility to a conceptual expression of culture, politics, and identity. ( from the met)

Check out the new Dekalb Market that will open this Saturday July 22, 2011. I can't wait to check it out. The layout will be 22 shipping containers in different colors.
Will post some pictures up soon.
I love how we are using the shipping containers for other then shipping stuff across the world.
The nearest trains are the R and Q. You would get off the Dekalb Stop. 332 Flatbush Avenue, BK.

This is some additional information from the site:

Dekalb Market is about a square block, at 332 Flatbush Avenue Extension, bordered by Willoughby Street and Gold Street, north of the Fulton Mall in Brooklyn. All vendors will be open daily from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., and some will be open as early as 8 a.m., and stay open as late as midnight. The market will have four entrances.
